The CIS Division provides a backup service to ensure the integrity of data stored on the Technion computers. Backup is done automatically at predetermined times, as specified on the Backup policy page. Backup service for central servers (both physical and virtual) of the CIS Division is free of charge. Backup service for faculty servers and personal computers involves a cost, made from Technion or Technion R&D Foundation budget. Cost of service is listed on the Backup policy page and in the CIS Division pricelist.
