The Computer Center runs an Lsoft mailing list server for multiple tasks:
- Administrative lists
- Focused Lists for supporting software users.
- Lists for managing scientific conferences, seminars and workshops
- List for academic courses of the graduate and undergraduate schools
Listserv is characterized by robustness, speed and flexibility. Several thousands lists transfer about a million messages per month at the Technion. The software may be operated by mail or though a web interface.
Lists Of Academic Courses
The Computer Center opens a mailing list for each academic course in the under-graduate and graduate schools. The lists are updated daily and include all the e-mail addresses of students who are registered to the course or added themselves to the list by themselves. This enables a fast and reliable communication path between the course staff and the course students.
