The CIS Shop serves as a central and convenient platform for purchasing software, licenses, and digital services for the entire Technion community – including academic staff, administrative staff, and students.
The purpose of the shop is to provide easy, secure, and efficient access to a wide range of computing services, tailored to the needs of the institution’s users.
Through the shop, users can register for the Technion VPN service, purchase storage and backup services, and order licenses for advanced software and services such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and additional products.
The products are offered to different target audiences accordingly – registration for the VPN service is intended for students, while most software licenses and storage services are available only through research or Technion budgets.
In addition to paid services, the shop also offers a variety of free products and services, subject to user eligibility.
Access to the shop is provided through secure Single Sign-On authentication, ensuring convenient and secure use exclusively for Technion users.
The shop supports a variety of payment methods, including charges to research budgets, Technion institutional budgets, tuition payments, and payroll deductions, depending on the type of user and the requested service.
The shop team provides support and assistance regarding orders, billing, and payments, and is available via email at cis-shop@technion.ac.il or through the SYSAID system.
