During the month of May, draft regulations were published regarding concessions given to institutions of higher education regarding website accessibility. The concessions are given with the understanding that such sites differ from regular websites in that they are not managed by a central entity but operate in a decentralized academic environment, and their target audience is usually colleagues abroad.
As of this moment (end of June), the regulations have not yet been approved. Moreover, there is disagreement among various legal scholars as to how to interpret these easements.  Nevertheless, for the sake of transparency and in order to enable Technion website owners to operate optimally, We found it necessary to write the following questions/answers, assuming that the regulations will be approved and that the interpretation we received regarding them is correct.

Therefore, we may have to change some of the answers we give in the future, and the Technion websites will have to adapt to the new guidelines.
