eduroam

eduroam is a global network comprised of higher education institutions from around the world. The network enables the academic community, faculty and students, to easily connect to the Internet from any academic institution participating in the project, using personal Technion credentials: username and password.

A Technion faculty member, researcher or student, arriving at an academic institution participating in eduroam service can connect to the wireless network using his Technion Active Directory/Azure AD username and password. There is no more need to find out how to connect to the remote institution local services, and connecting to the internet and to Technion becomes easy.

Installation instructions for automatic configuration are available here.

On the authentication screen which requires username and password, please enter:

  • Academic and administrative staff users:
    • username used for unified Technion authentication, such as username@technion.ac.il
    • password for that account, managed at the account management site. *
  • Students for all degrees:
    • username used for unified Technion authentication, such as username@campus.technion.ac.il
    • password for that account, managed at the account management site. *

* Those who have not changed their password since 1-8-2013 are required to first change the password at the account management site.
