What is a Dropbox account for business ?

As part of an agreement between IUCC and Dropbox, Technion faculty members are entitled to purchase a Dropbox subscription for businesses for personal use

Using a Technion budget for username@technion.ac.il postal address and for students at

username@campus.technion.ac.il .

Note: For technical reasons, only addresses listed above can be used for a Dropbox account.

How to purchase?

The purchase is open to Technion faculty through the faculty portal through the CIS Division’s online service store. If you wish to buy multiple licenses in one order, please specify this at the time of purchase on the site.

How do I access the service?

Upon receipt of a confirmation email and registration for the Dropbox service, click on the activation link

” Team Your Join .”

You can then use the service at http://dropbox.technion.ac.il .

Download the software for all operating systems https://www.dropbox.com/install

If you want to merge a Technion Dropbox account with a private account, you must change the email address in the private account before purchasing to a Technion postal address as shown above.

Team folders of Dropbox

Team folder is a powerful tool which you can share with your team. Different team folders consist of shared folders. They’re owned by Dropbox administrators. With team folders you can:

•  Automatically sync content in team folders to all group members –
• Choose to share individual files or folders within a team folder –

Team folders are shared with groups and are the center of team content. The group is assigned a role (as authors or view only)

to the staff folder. All content in your team folder is automatically shared with anyone who is a member of the group and can access the team folder. Only Technion Dropbox account holders can be members of the group and have access to team folders.

If a team folder is needed, please contact your administrators to add the relevant folder for a group of users.
