Human resources and payroll management

The department of HR applications, payroll and management information systems is divided into three application groups:

The HR system - The system supports the process of treating different populations of employees and staff members, and comprehends all the processes starting with integrating and hiring a candidate, handling and individual throughout his career up to retirement. The system serves the HR division directly, the Technion institution and academic staff office's HR department, and indirectly serves the units managers and the entirety of staff and employees. The system currently in use will be replaced next year by the SAP-HR system. We are currently in the midst of applying the new system.

The payroll system - The system handles payroll calculation for the entirety of the Technion population and works with close proximity with the Finances division and the Technion's payroll department. The payroll team continuously engages in applying all the changes in regulations, legislation and agreements that will affect the payroll calculation.

Information management systems -  System designed for reports and analyses used by various administrative officials in the Technion administration and faculties. These systems are based on data collected every night from the various operative systems, and provide flexible and user-friendly tools to run reports on different sections. There are two information management systems:

BW - the system includes reports regarding topics managed by the SAP systems such as finance and budget systems, fellowship management, logistic systems, maintenance, sales management (CRM), external studies (CRM) and candidates.

DW – the system includes reports regarding the academic staff and student administration (candidates, undergraduate and graduate students, courses, alumni, tuition etc.)
