There are several routes for purchasing software at the Technion:
- Purchasing software for faculty members at the expense of a research budget: Log in to the SAP portal: http://portal.technion.ac.il Then tap “Software licenses“. In this track, you enter the software store and are asked to pay from the research budget.
- Purchase of software for students with a charge (such as tuition): Log in to the software store: http://e-software.technion.ac.il
- Purchase of software by Technion employees with a financial charge from salary: enter the software store: http://e-software.technion.ac.il

:Purchasing software at the expense of a faculty budget
.Purchasing software at the expense of a faculty budget is done in two stages: ordering the software by the faculty engineer and then making payment by the assistant to the administration
- To order the software, the faculty engineer enters the website: http://acct.technion.ac.il and taps: “Purchasing software for the faculty“. The software store entrance page opens. The faculty engineer types his own account information into the computer.
It places the software order and when “check out” is activated, a screen appears that displays a code that allows the payment to be made.
The faculty engineer also receives an email with the above code.
The faculty engineer forwards the above email to the assistant to the administration. - To make the payment, the Faculty’s Assistant Administration logs into his own SAP portal account and taps on the “Purchase” icon and later on “Computer-Software Center“.
