Antivirus – Microsoft Defender ATP
General Information: As part of Microsoft’s expanded Office 365 services for the Technion, Technion users, faculty, staff, and students are eligible to use the Microsoft Defender ATP Advanced Defense Service. The service is provided to all computers in the Technion and outside.
This service is based on the built-in Antivirus mechanism as part of the Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019 operating system, so no additional Antivirus software is required on computers connected to this service.
To run this service on Windows 10 & 2019 operating systems, you must download a script to connect to the service.
This service replaces McAfee’s previous service. McAfee Services may not continue to be used after 13/09/2020
