Maple is  a tool for creating mathematical formulae. Can be used for a multitude of purposes, as an auxiliary tool for word processors,  for TeX/LaTeX users, for creating Internet sites.

MathType files can be viewed on PCs on which the application is not installed, but MathType fonts are installed. The fonts can be installed for free.
