Pulse Secure installation on CentOS7

This installation process was checked and approved only for:

  • CentOS 7, 64 bit
  • PulseSecure v.9.1R8.0 — the last qualified version for CentOS 7 and RHEL 7. Next versions of PulseSecure do not work with CentOS 7 and RHEL 7!
  1. Install Pulse Secure client (PulseUI):
    sudo yum update -y
    sudo yum install -y http://webdev.web3.technion.ac.il/docs/cis/public/ssl-vpn/v.9.1R8.0/ps-pulse-centos-rhel.rpm
  2. To be able to run the client in GUI mode run:
    /usr/local/pulse/PulseClient_x86_64.sh install_dependency_packages
    • Answer Y to all questions.
  3. Then open Pulse Secure:

  4. Then add SSL VPN connection setup:
    • Click on ‘plus’ sign:

    • Enter Name and URL as in an picture and click Add:

  5. Now you can connect to Technion SSL VPN:
    • Click on Connect button:

    • Enter your credentials and click on Connect button:

    • After successful connection click on a small triangle next to Technion and check the connection status:
